Collection: Cross Platinum fox

Cross Platinum is a rare mutation of the red fox. It's much lighter in color than a Cross fox with the Whitemark or Ringneck coloration. This is because the Platinum mutation has a diluting effect on both red and black pigments. The Platinum gene is dominant in heterozygous form. The gene is lethal in homozygous form, so breeding a Platinum to another Platinum (or Whitemark, Ringneck and Georgian/Snow) will result in less pups being born.

Some pelts barely show any of the orange Cross color, just a little bit around the ears.
