Collection: Tail keychains

Tail keychains are all handmade by me, using tails sourced from my own suppliers or from small furriers in Europe. Contrary to what a lot of sellers say, tails are not destroyed once cut from the pelt (this is a common tactic to make you feel like you've 'saved' a tail). Tails, but also faces and legskins, are a byproduct of making fur items and are saved and often sold.

My tails have been attached to a metal clip (silver or copper color) using a strip of real leather from my local leather store. I mostly source small pieces of leather to reduce waste and as to not cut up a whole good hide. Tails can be worn, displayed on the wall or used as a keychain.

Do not let the leather get wet (a light drizzle won't hurt fur) and air dry without heat in case the fur does get wet. Don't apply a lot of force, tail leather is only a small, thin strip and it doesn't withstand force like heavy tugging!

Note that none of my items ever come from places where I can't guarantee animal welfare. Be careful buying tails online, many sellers will resell cheap Asian tails (sometimes even claiming they are roadkill). These will often have a gold clasp and the tail will be glued into the cap. If you have questions about the origin of a tail you want to purchase (be it from me or someone else) feel free to reach out on social media or through e-mail.
