A mountable pelt is suited for taxidermy. The pelts I sell as mountable are complete and have turned ears (full cartilage), turned nose (full cartilage), split lips and split eyes. The paws contain no bones except the bone holding on to the nail. A pelt not checking all the boxes will have their flaw(s) listed in the description. Mountable pelts are tanned by a professional taxidermist. Suitable for either a softmount or a lifesize mount.
A wallhanger is a pelt not suitable for mounting. This doesn’t necessarily mean the pelt is missing parts, but often it does. Pelts can also be too old to mount or not have the needed “prep work” done on the face (mentioned in the previous explanation). As a default, wallhangers have NO paws.
