Collection: Amber fox

Amber is the name given to the mutation created by mixing Pearl and Burgundy. The result is a pale brown, sometimes with yellow undertones. These yellow tones are what makes Amber distinguishable from other brown mutations by the trained eye.

Like most brown mutations of the red fox, Amber is difficult to produce and improve because the mutation is recessive and only shows in homozygous form. It takes two generations for the first pups to show the brown color.
