The origin of this animal is USA. The animal died early winter 2024 and the tan is from April 2025.
Size of the pelt is 63 cm nose to tip of tail.
Please note opossum hands/paws are quite delicate. It’s hard to remove bones from the toes so they have been left in. The rest of the paw does not have any bones. Ears are left unturned and need to be shaped when the mount is drying. The anus and sometimes the genitals of this batch of opossums has been cut away by the person who skinned them. For a lifesize mount you will need to make alterations to the form or else the skin won’t close.
Imperfections:
- One hind leg has a tear - Each paw/hand has a hole or a toe which needs reinforcing - One paw/hand looks to have one of the fingers inside, so it’s not missing
